Minutes of Annual General Meeting of Treeton Community Events Committee Held on Thursday 14th August 2008 at Treeton Village Community & Resource Centre Voting members: Chris Edwards (Chair), Andrea Beckingham, Robin Carter, Andrew Roddison, Denise Ward. Non voting members: Steve Ruffle (Minutes), Roy Blackman, Nic Marshall 1. Apologies Joan Frost, Eric Ward, Ian Bickle, Chris Nuttall, Kevin Whitworth, Jackie Whitworth 2. Accounts Andrea Beckingham presented the accounts. £408.70 was in the bank account at 31st March 2008. There are two bills outstanding - £30 to Rother Fed for printing of leaflets advertising the AGM and £10 to TVCRC for hire of the room for the meeting. After debts outstanding, there will be £368.70 in the bank. 3. Proposal to Wind Up the Group Andrea Beckingham proposed the Group be wound up. This was seconded by Chris Edwards and approved unanimously. (5 votes FOR 0 votes AGAINST) 4. Distribution of Assets Assets remaining (£368.70) must be distributed towards event organisation in Treeton. Robin Carter described the plans for a living history weekend between 11th and 14th July 2009 organised by Treeton Local History Group in association with the Sealed Knot. He described the significant role Treeton has in the English Civil War. Initial plans have indicative support of Treeton Parish Council and St.Helens Church. In her absence, a message was read out from Joan Frost recommending the remainding monies be given to the Treeton Community and Resource Centre. On a vote, it was agreed all assets remaining should be distributed to the living history weekend. The cheque will be made out to Treeton Local History Group. (5 votes FOR 0 votes AGAINST) |
